Street Tree Trimming by Overland Park
Posted on Jun 2nd, 2017
The City of Overland Park is trimming street trees along some streets in Windham Hill to the requirement of 12.5 feet above the street side and 8 feet above the sidewalk side.  Most affected residents have received postcards advising of this trimming.   We have learned that despite having an arborist with each trimming crew, in some cases the contractors have not trimmed per Overland Park's guidelines.  If you have a concern or believe your street trees were not properly trimmed, please submit a service request to Overland Park through Overland Park Cares.  Click here to visit the site and select Trees.
Street Maintenance
Posted on Feb 15th, 2017
The City of Overland Park is planning street maintenance this summer for most of the streets within Windham Hill. A few streets were chip-sealed in 2015 and these will not be redone.   Late last year, city crews sealed street cracks in preparation for the chip and seal work planned for this summer.  Although no specific date was given ....
Digging for High Speed Cable- Again
Posted on Jan 9th, 2017
In  January 2017, Google Fiber contractors are digging and burying cable again in Windham Hill for their fiber optic network using utility rights of way.  Although most previous work was done in utility rights of way in the backyards, now they are digging in the utility right of way in the front yard as well.
If you have any questions or to report damage from cable construction, please call the Google Construction Phone Line at 877-454-6959. The agreement with The City of Overland Park requires that calls be returned within 48 hours.  If your call is not returned please contact Overland Park City Codes Inspector John Merkle at 913-304-4393.

Trash & Recycle Carts
Posted on Oct 11th, 2016
If your trash or recycle cart has been damaged or you need a different size cart, please click here to complete and submit the form so we may review your request and forward it to WCA for action. At this time we are not able to replace carts simply because they have the former company name and logo.  All carts with the Town and Country name are still emptied.
Pet Licensing Reminder
Posted on Sep 16th, 2016
The Overland Park City Clerk has requested that we remind residents that all pets within the city limits must be registered and licensed each year. Pets must be licensed within 30 days of being brought into the city, regardless or whether the pets go outside.   A valid rabies vaccination is required to license your pet, and the annual license fee is $20 or only $10 if the pet is spayed or neutered.  The rabies vaccination is required to ensure the safety of all pets, residents and visitors.  As a reminder, in 2015 there were 75 cases of rabies reported in Kansas.
